Grace Celebrates Working with Fabric and Textiles!!

Grace celebrates many years involved in the textile industry, being inspired as a youth by her Polish immigrant mother and uncle, Janina and Jozef.  Mother sewed for herself and members of the family.  Jozef was a professional tailor sewing high quality men’s suits for CEO’s of large corporations.

As a teenager, she fell in love with fabric. Grace sewed many of her clothes, wearing her dresses, pant suits and other clothing to school and special occasions.

Grace in 1980, 5 months pregnant with Jasmine, at first craft show selling her handmade quilts.

In 1980, age 24, and 5 months pregnant with her daughter, Jasmine, she displayed her sewn quilt creations for the first time to the public at a show in Loveland, Colorado.

In 1990, she began Reusable Wrap, an environmental solution to paper gift wrap, fabric gift bags, that sold in 13 states, with accounts such as The Tattered Cover Bookstore, Waldenbooks, Nature’s Own Imagination and many others.

While living in Peru in the year 2000, she discovered a fiber made from the first shearing of the baby Alpaca, woven into the finest, warmest textile available worldwide.

In the year 2006, a trip to Poland to connect with her roots also connected her with Polish fibers and textiles of fine scarves and shawls each being a work of art.

Jasmine, her daughter models a baby alpaca fiber sweater from Peru and a Pashmina from Poland.
